Saturday Giveaway: The Wood Garden

We have a beautiful Saturday giveaway this week to go along with the lovely new look of our blog! Today Laura & Chris are offering an all natural, handcrafted Wooden Baby Rattle in Cherry and Walnut and a Wooden Teething Ring in Rock Maple valued at $27.00. This is a special heirloom gift, handmade with love and care, sure to last for many years to come.

About the Artist(s):

We're Chris and Laura, and we make natural, handcrafted wooden toys.

We are a husband and wife team who have always been creative--in fact, we met in high school art class. When our first son was small Chris started making wooden trucks for him, and quickly fell in love with woodworking and creating wooden toys especially. He bought more tools and made it his hobby, and later a business. Eventually we heard about Etsy and The Wood Garden was born.

Our workshop is in our home garage in Windsor, Ontario. We dream of someday moving our family out to a chunk of land in the country and having a large, bright workshop powered by wind. (As well as a huge garden, some chickens, and perhaps another baby or two.) Maybe Etsy will help us fulfill that dream!

We are proud to be creating quality handmade toys right here in Canada, using safe, environmentally friendly materials, as opposed to plastic toys mass-produced overseas. We are trying to provide a different kind of choice than what you'd find in a big-box store.

Each of our toys is a unique item designed and handcrafted by us, with lots of love and care. Learn more about us by visiting our shop and blog where Laura writes about their move to a simpler lifestyle.
