GermanDolls Treehugger Giveaway!

I know Earthday was last week. My Giveaway for one of my beautiful trademark pocketdresses was supposed to happen last weekend. But in my mind every day should be Earthday, and we should always take care of our evironment!

Instead of visiting my various online shops/ sites and professing your love for GermanDolls Natural Dolls and Toys I would rather have you do something good for our planet.

If you would like to enter in the drawing for one of my awesome Treehugger Pocketdresses - shown in the pictures - please leave a comment on what you have done this week to make our planet greener and better. It can be anything as trivial as picking up trash left behind by someone else at the park, or bringing your cloth grocery bags to the store.

For each report of a good action or Green tip that you leave in the comment section this week, you will be entered in the drawing for one of my sweet pocketdresses. Don't forget to leave your email address where I can contact you if you win!

Contest starts today April 30th, 2011 and lasts 7 days. Last day for entering is May 6th!Winner will be announced Saturday May 7th.

Rules: Members of Natural Kids team and their families are not allowed to enter in this drawing. International entries are welcome, but keep in mind that the winner is responsible for taxes and custom fees...

Linda said...: I use cloth grocery bags, natural cat litter, and my stainless water bottle instead of bottled water. I also take my own take out containers to restaurants if I'm pretty sure I'll be bringing some of my food home - I dislike the styrofoam containers for food and take-out drinks. We recycle what we can {I wish we were able to recycle glass here}, I mend and fix whatever I can instead of buying new, & I'm going to start grinding wheatberries & making my own bread soon.
Thanks for such a cute giveaway - and I do love your shop! My granddaughter would love this dress.

Angela said...: Recycled soda cans. Used my own bags at store. Use plastic store bags to pick up doggy poo on our walks. Started a worm compost farm for my kitchen scraps just yesterday. I save all my natural fiber yarn snippets to toss out to the birdies for nests. Had a large amount to toss out yesterday on a windy day. We use cloth napkins now. To the Moon said...: I have been recycling since the 1980's when my kids refused to take drink in boxes to school. I use my an aluminum water bottle. I by natural makeup. I use environmentally friendly laundry and dish soap and cleaning supplies. I use drier balls instead of drier sheet. My shopping is done with cloth bags. Shana said...: I just watched a great documentary called BAG IT and it inspired me avoid buying certain plastics (#4,5,6) that can't be recycled here, and not buy canned foods that contain BPA. We recycle a lot, use cloth bags and napkins and grow our own veggies each summer. My biggest goal is to reduce my use of plastic, using cloth snack bags, reusing what plastic bags and containers I do have and using reusable bottles and coffee cups.; April 30, 2011 at 5:31 PM

S said...: We reuse and recycle, bokashi our food scraps and have our own kitchen garden. We take bags with us when we shop, buy our meat and extra fruit and veg from local biodynamic farmers and try to eat vegitarian 3-4 times a week. my big girl catches the bus to school and the wee girl and I walk when we can. Both my daughters have used cloth nappies with biodegradable liners. I make it my mission not to buy water so we take out stainless steel water bottles everywhere. We just had our first baby girl in October who is absolutely adored by her four big brothers.

FairyLover said...: We do not buy any paper products. We use cloth "paper towels", family cloth, napkins, hankies, cleaning rags. No paper plates, cups, or plastic utensils at all. We use our Kleen Kanteens instead of bottled water. I make my own laundry soap and use vinegar to clean with. I also make all the candles we use. We recycle as much as we can. Since we live in an apartment, we are not allowed to compost. But I would if I could.

Well, we went and picked 2 gallons of strawberries from a family farm's field to support our local famrers. We also bought their fresh eggs, and a bottle of cider. I recycled all my aluminum, and I will be planing baby trees this Saturday! :)
