Mini Monday: PrismKids

Etsy: Your place to buy & sell all things handmade
PrismKids.etsy.com

Another random selection for Mini Monday. Please meet one of the newest members our NaturalKids Team--PrismKids! Here's a bit more about her and her colorful dollies.

My daughters, their dad and I are nomads at heart! Currently we're at home living near Charleston, SC, until January 2009 when we will begin a 6-month organic gardening apprenticeship at the gorgeous Kanalani Ohana Farm. They grow and roast the most delectable 100% Kona coffee. We are so excited to have been offered to work and live with them!

I have a degree in Studio Art from the College of Charleston, work part-time as an office manager, and have two shops here on Etsy (I am also myopicvisions). Aron works at The Sprout - a wonderful raw food/juice/smoothie bar, and Genevieve & Aurora are un-schooled (as of Dec. 2006) and happy to be free!

We love to create things - whether it's sewing, shooting photos, crocheting, felting, book binding, throwing pottery....making beautiful food....joy and creativity can save your life and I think Etsy is amazing because it encourages people to do what is natural to them - and that equals happiness.

More about Prism Kids:
Prism Kids are Waldorf-inspired dolls with a fun focus on love for all different colors of skin! Other things we also love: home designed/handmade clothing, tattoos, punk hair, yoga, dreadlocks, pregnancy and babies! Made from upcycled 100% cotton shirts, filled with organic cotton stuffing and organic lavender buds!!! The shirts are hand-picked by me and my daughters from local thrift shops...don't worry, only the softest, gentlest-used shirts are selected (NO icky stains allowed) and are immediately washed in all-natural plant-based laundry soap when we get them back home.

Welcome to the team :) I loved reading about your homeschooling journey--we homeschool, too. Your kids are so colorful! And I love that your daughters help with the designs and clothing.

So nice to meet you and welcome to Naturalkids!
I agree that joy and creativity can save your life and it looks like your family is livin' life with lots of both. We are homeschooling too and love the freedom to do what we want when we want so learning is a pleasure.
Hope you like being part of this group, I think it's the best!
